Logistics Management and Support for General Contractors – OLD

Global has recently increased its services to include logistics management and support for General Contracts working on large construction projects.  We apply our transferable skills and expertise from the event planning and management industry to provide this support.

We recently completed a 4.5-month training and development program provided by MBDI – www.minoritybdi.org – in which we learned so much about the construction industry.  The program addressed industry-specific business issues for the emerging contractor population, including issues that create barriers to success for contracting firms.  Also, we were trained on the topics of insurance and bonding, estimating, QuickBooks accounting, bid preparation, contract law, as well as how to permanently increase construction opportunities, productivity, and future profitability.  This training has allowed us to understand the needs of this industry.  As a result, we have refined customizable services that we can offer specifically to this industry, including but not limited to the following:

  • Project Management:
    • Strategic planning
    • Developing and managing project plans for different areas of project
    • Project scheduling
    • Management of sub-contractors and third-party vendors
    • Staffing and staff management
    • Providing marketing items

  • Compliance Management and Tracking
    • Our company is experienced in compliance monitoring, tracking, and recording as it relates to adherence to government regulations, namely the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses for sub-contractors.  We performed this work massively when executing a 2-year contract with the US Department of Education.  For this contract, we also performed monthly – as federally required – financial reporting on all contract expenditures between  $75,000 and $100,000 each month, reconciling those expenditures against various third-party vendor accounts and client account charges.
  • Ethics Training
    • Our corporate trainer is experienced in providing industry specific ethics training, which we can provide to sub-contractors
